Our Thank You Tour Summary
On Monday, June 1st our Regional Sales Managers, Gareth Walker and Kelly Ventham, set off on a journey around the UK with their army of Account Managers to personally visit and thank each of our auction partners. Many auctions and dealers thought we were crazy to invest so much time and effort to get out to see each site but for us, it was a no brainer! Having had a successful first year of trading the only course of action was to thank the people that made it possible!
Gareth, Kelly and the team visited over 20 auctions in total in just 2 weeks meeting a huge variety of people and getting many an odd glance in our ‘thank you’ branded company cars! In addition to getting out and about to say thank you in person we were also able to give something back: StockMaster! StockMaster is the innovative technology we have built to save dealers time. A first in the remarketing industry as it aggregates the majority of auctions in the UK in one place for you to see all your current pending vehicles. Why log in more than once…now you don’t need to!
With StockMaster being such a forward-thinking addition to the market we wanted to bring some of the NextGear Capital personality out and during our auction tour, we were delighted that Mr StockMaster could help with the launch of this gift for the UK remarketing network. The new addition to the NextGear Capital family, Mr StockMaster, generated lots of interest from our auctions and buyers with plenty of #selfies taken and many an overhead comment of ‘he looks like my mate’! Our generosity didn’t stop there! StockMaster is there to help dealers and auctions to be able to concentrate on finding the right stock for their customers and auctions work tirelessly in a competitive market to maintain their customer loyalty. We wanted to recognise this. A short interlude in the majority of sales allowed us to hand over a little something to our auction partners as we look forward to a long and harmonious relationship in the future continuing to serve our joint dealers to the best of our ability. Although as these branded company cars shuttled through the lanes, definitely sparkling as they were kindly scrubbed at each auction, our cars were in demand with dealers bidding away amongst the mileage checks and plenty of tyre kicking!
Evening sales and meeting the mixed attendees at these events was a highlight for our team. The difference in the dynamic of interactions and the vehicles available has allowed us to identify more about what matters to our customers; our primary concern. By being on-site at these auctions we were able to meet many more dealers who were delighted to hear about how NextGear Capital can really help a dealer to stock more and sell more.
In return to our gifts to our dealers and auctions, it was very kind of you to shower us with the multiple applause we received at the auctions even though our goal was to thank you! A highlight for our Southern Regional Sales Manager, Gareth, was an impromptu chorus of Happy Birthday from a gaggle of enthusiastic schoolchildren at a zebra crossing…it made his day!
Thank you to our auctions for hosting us, our dealers for the continued support and feedback to ensure we continue to supply the best Stocking Plan in the market and the motorways for being reasonably kind as we travelled the length and breadth of the UK! Our attitude to our customers is to make sure we are seen and heard. We believe in regular contact when it suits you and open support whether this is at your dealership at your request or popping by for a brew when we’re at the auctions around the UK which we will continue to be.
In total the 5289 miles we travelled across the country with Mr StockMaster for company has led to us being able to personally thank our partners and customers and we hope we continue to impress you with our focus on customer service – we believe, based on your feedback from our auction tour, mission accomplished!
